Just Another Day

Well, dear readers, this is just another day in a wonderful line of days. I know most of it has to do with my attitude, but then that has been good too. God has been wonderful and faithful in not only the big things of life but the little ones too.

Life in Texas is going well. We are going to a church near the university and love it. We have met some very nice people and there are a lot of them around our age. The older members are just wonderful and very friendly. I have found that just because the church is big, it doesn't make it impersonal. They all try very hard to speak to you, to ask if you are new or are a member because everyone recognizes the fact that with over 1000 people, it's easy to overlook or miss someone.

We are getting into a nice routine in the evenings and have a favorite TV night (Monday - we love Big Bang Theory) and try to get in a walk if we're motivated. :) Since we both love movies, we usually go see one over the weekend. Last weekend we went to the local lake and walked for about an hour. It was pleasant, breezy, and very relaxing and I loved looking out over the water. There is a restaurant on the bank that I think we are going to try soon.

Yes, I am still seeing the acupuncturist and she is really good at it. My back is better, my leg isn't as numb, and I don't have any pain! I'll take a few needles over major back surgery any day of the week.

That is about all of the news for this day . . . I think I should have something with a little kick to it later in the week. hehehehe.
