Laughter and Stress

I love Pearls Before Swine. It is a clever little cartoon and the animals crack me up. There is a rat who is the ringleader. Pig is the nice, simple friend. Goat is the conscience, while the alligators are just trying to find food. Any food.... especially MEAT. They are always trying to eat one of the other animals. I hope you enjoy these cartoons too... look at your newspaper or go to the official website for more laughs.
Speaking of laughs, my friend Lori sent me to a blog called Stuff Christians Like and I read some great stuff there! Tim laughed more at me than he did the posts.
I need to laugh this week. It is going to be a long and stressful week and I am praying that it goes quickly. I am focusing on sleep, work, a good diet, and I want to try to get in some walking. I know that if I don't - the week will that much harder. Isn't it funny how we try to cut corners in order to make life easier when in fact cutting the corners sometimes makes things harder in the long run?? I could skip meals, eat fast food, stay up late vegging in front of the tv, skip my routines in the morning to shave off some time for extra sleep, watch the housework pile up so I can play Spider Solitaire, etc and tell myself that this will make my life easier. But it doesn't take a rocket scientist to see that the above thinking will just produce chaos in my life. If my work week is going to be stressful, then why would I want to compound the problem?
Should you feel sorry for me, then comment or send me an email. I don't want to have to be like Pig and send myself a letter. Tim might kick my loser butt from here to the post office. :)
