Curiosity has brought you to this site. So The Queen has a question for you.......What is one food someone would have to pay you to eat and why?
Mine would have to be a toss up. Cow's brain or cow's tongue. I just couldn't do it. I think nasty, nasty things might happen and being of a royal nature, I cannot go any further!!!
I look forward to reading all about your food phobias.
Of the exotic foods, I would have to say mountain oysters (although my dad tricked me into eating one once, and I almost broke my record of not upchucking, which now stands at 35 years and counting) and head cheese.
Of the more garden variety foods (pun intended), I would have to say almost anything green, especially aromatic vegetables like broccoli, asparagus, and cauliflower (although it's technically not green).
I am dying...... Kristen, I never would have believed it. I thought you loved cornbread, especially with beans and ham. John, LOL...... 35 years? I'm impressed. Head cheese??? I think I would have to bite it back myself. So to invite you to a salad bar would be a guanateed 'NO', eh?
Liver and onions for me. Yuck! I learned in one of my biology classes why liver tastes so horrible--no Beta-pleated sheet (a chemical structure). I'm sure that's more than you wanted to know.
Another reason not to eat liver? It is the toxic waste processing plant of the body. Yummy, yummy.
Cynthia, I would accompany you to the salad bar but only if I can drown the green stuff with plenty of Ranch or Bleu Cheese dressing, sunflower seeds, and croutons.
