A Maze of Grace

I have listened to Avalon's song A Maze of Grace about 20 times over the past couple of days. If you were to ask me why, I would have to say because I love the sound of the music along with the words. (I don't care for the bridge but the rest of it I love.) I always loved 'Testify to Love' and even wanted it played at my funeral. I LOVE that song. However, the lyrics to 'A Maze of Grace' intrigue me. The chorus says...

The straight and narrow twists and turns,
I make my way and every day,
I live I learn to follow you
You walk me through a maze of grace.

I love the idea of a maze of grace. Not only a play on the old song, but the thought of walking through a maze. We don't know where life will take us. We don't know about the twists and turns. But I know He walks me through the maze of life and I have to trust that he will lead me out. Once out, I'm sure I'll see the 'big picture' and realized that He knew exactly where we were going and I should have trusted Him all along.

Do I follow Him willingly? Or do I drag my heels?

Do I look around the corners with anticipation? Or dread?

All I know is I want to be able to say with absolute truth ... I live, I learn to follow you... you walk me through a maze of grace.

You need to listen to that song. :)
