Saturday Morning

For those of you that read on a regular basis, you know that Saturday is my favorite day! I do what I want to do and I enjoy every possible moment.

My younger sister, Sarah, usually goes to visit dad early on Saturday, which is fine by me. I like to sleep in, she likes to get up, so it's a win/win proposition. Until this weekend. Sarah went to the lake and she won't be able to visit dad. He doesn't quite understand, so he asked if I would be coming. CONFLICT!!!!! Now, a good daughter would say, "Sure dad, I would love to get up early on my only day off and come down and eat breakfast with you because my sister chose to go to the lake instead of fulfilling her roll as the early-morning-sister thus leaving a gap for someone to fill and since you asked me and not Cheryl because she has to go to soccer practice I guess I am the person designated to get up early ... did I mention get up EARLY? and come visit you." So, I am going to visit him. He told me I could sleep in until 7 and then try to get there between 7:30, but no later than 8. (OH MY GOSH. Did I mention early on SATURDAY?)

So, being the "obedient" daughter that he thinks I am.... I am up, dressed, had coffee, fed my cats, made my bed, and picked up some clutter, had my devotional, read a chapter in Velvet Elvis and will be headed out the door by 7. I think he will be pleased that I am there before 8. LOL. I sure do love that man. If I didn't, do you think I would BE GETTING UP ON MY ONLY DAY TO SLEEP IN?? HECK NO!!!!! Only love for my dad blasted me out of my bed at 6:00 AM. Well, love for my mom would get me out too. And possibly love for my sisters.... well, maybe not Sarah... she's at the lake and that started all of this! Oh! And possibly my son and daughter. The Tot could ask for the moon and I would try to get it for her. Sheesh, that little thing has her Nana right where she wants her. I am such a pushover for my Tot.

Well, I have to end this post. I am going to Panera's and picking up some bagels and coffee so that dad and I can have breakfast in the garden. He really does love early mornings in the garden. I think it is alot like me, my deck outside (where I am now) and my coffee. Birds of a feather and such, I guess.

Have a wonderful day, sleep in..... (rats!) and do things that you want to do today!
See you later.
