Today the Queen is literally under the weather in two ways: it's raining - hard- outside and the thunder and lightening are spectacular; I am sick. I have been working on a cough and I think it's worn me down. So, I am staying home today and foregoing my worship. I am, instead, snuggled on the couch, listening to the rain beat down on my skylight, watching the lightening out the doors in front of me, with some light music in the background. Gabby is lying next to me watching my fingers type on the keys. She is so funny. It's been interesting to watch this storm come up and how the treetops have responded. They were just thrashing around in the wind and the birds were chirping away, then they both just stopped. A few minutes later, the thunder cracked, lightening flashed, and big drops began to hit the skylight. Then the bottom dropped. I love days like this.
However, coughing is not something I love about today. I have noticed this creeping up over the past couple of days, but really thought nothing of it. Last night was not restful which means I am not feeling my sassy-self. I am going to keep a close eye on this since I don't want give anything to dad. I have too many things going on this month to be down with a cough, sore throat, and a lost voice. yuck. Which means that today is going to be one of rest, liquids, medicine, and movies for the Queen. I might even get a book read today if I'm lucky.
Have a wonderful Lord's day everyone. May you enjoy a day of rest and peace.
