Cabelas, Doody & Naptime

Oh my goodness. I went to Cabelas today for the first time in my life. I have seen pictures on other blogs of the store, but never experienced it for myself. I just wanted to buy a kayak and jump in a river and float away. I wasn't too much into the fishing rods, or the hunting stuff, but the Tot, Dave and I looked at all the animals and I couldn't get over all of the different horns on all of the African animals. How can people think that all of those different horns just evolved over time? If so, why didn't they all just look the same? (Yeah, I even get bible-moments in Cabelas.)

Before the man store of the century visit, we went to Cracker Barrel for breakfast. We met Dave's mom and dad there and had a very delicious breakfast and a wonderful visit. I have enjoyed spending time with them this weekend and I like to see the interaction between them and the two kids. You can tell they are as "over the moon" about the kids as I am. Little David sure does love his "Pops!"

We are currently doing nap-time here at the Unsinkable household. I think Nana is just about ready to test her eyelids for holes as well. I did baby duty (and doody) last night. The Tot had a bad dream- Nana to the rescue. Little David had a 4:30 poopy diaper; Nana to the rescue. Little David needed a bottle to go back to bed; Nana to the rescue. And then we had a 5:30 poopy diaper, Nana gave it to mom!!!!! :)

So, I am going to nap and then I'll let you know what happens at the end of the day. Texas is one fine place to be! I could move here. I wonder if there are any cowboys looking for a city girl??? :) hee hee. We'll chat again soon.

It was so good to see you yesterday. I still can't get over the little guy being a year old. I have been lurking on your blog for awhile now and I love it! I know where Kristen gets her writing and comedic talents from. Have a safe trip home!

Queen, have you gone over to the dark side, or what!?!?!?!? It pains my Okie heart to hear you say anything good about Texas.

Seriously, have missed your smiling face and look forward to your return. In fact, I taught the young adult class yesterday and told everyone to speak up because our designated talker was out of town.

Your loving, adopted brother,

John
