Gentle rain, cool breeze, snoring cats, gentle music, hot coffee, full tummy, and a contented spirit.... it's a great way to begin my vacation day. I decided a while back to declare this my vacation day and I have been preparing for this day for some time. I have really been looking forward to it. It is simply a Saturday, like every other Saturday, but this time I am staying at home. All Day. I am going to get a few things done around the apartment, and nap, watch a movie tonight, and just take the day as it comes. I may even take two naps! heheheehee.
My cats have gotten into the spirit, they are on their first nap of the day and it's only 9:30 in the morning. One is asleep on the coffee table and one is snoring by the window. They both can see out and I think the rain has hypnotized them. It's a soft rain and it's been doing it for the past 2-3 hours. The cool part? Usually when this happens, it's a work day and I can't stay home and enjoy it.....but not today!!!
I have a roast that will go in the crockpot, cats to groom and a dessert to bake for tomorrow. I bought some new candles, and I have a few items on my de-clutter list. ahhhhhh, it will be a good day to cocoon.
Enjoy your day, and may I suggest that you pick a date and make it a vacation day for yourself. Plan to do some things you have been putting off and enjoy life as it comes.
