Texas, the Tot, and Little David

Today is the day I leave for Texas to see my grandbabies, SIL-Dave, and my Unsinkable daughter, Kristen. I'm really happy to know that she is unsinkable because with all the rain going on in Texas, being unsinkable has its advantages!

I leave tonight after work, fly the skies, and arrive in Love Field tonight. Dave is the designated person to pick me up. K will be putting the little ones to bed. (rats) Dave has picked me up many times in the past two years and two of those times included a very fast drive to the hospital to visit the new grandbabies. It is so hard to believe I was there a year ago when little David was born. Bran and Jenn still lived in TX, so I was able go to church with both of my kids, my two in laws, and all four of my precious little babies. It was heaven on earth! I miss Bran and his family very much, but God gave me that wonderful weekend and packed it with many memories. I am content.

I have family and friends in Texas and am looking forward to visiting my grandmother who is in a nursing home in Ft. Worth. My aunts and uncles live in the area as well. I don't know if I will get to all of them, but I would like to see some of them if possible. It's so nice to know that my family is so near my daughter and her family. Kristen took a picture of the Tot and my grandmother holding hands. There are 90 years between the two hands. Can you believe that? 90 years between the two hands? There are not very many people who are related that have that many years between them. The Tot is blessed and the little thing has no idea. :)
My grandmother doesn't remember much, but she remembers those precious little babies that visit her and a loving mother that brings them.

Well, readers, the Queen is off on another voyage of discover and observations. I am partially packed, (will finish after work) and I have had a good breakfast, a hot cup of coffee, and have posted and checked my mail. I am doing my devo in the car.... but I will pray with my eyes OPEN - no worries. :) I tried praying with my eyes closed but I think I frightened the other drivers. (That one was for you, Jude! hee hee)

Have a wonderful weekend, dear friends, I will miss you while I am hugging babies in TX.
If I have time, I will try to continue to post and add pics while I am there. It will just be a matter of booting the Unsinkable off the computer long enough for the Queen to post! :)

Caio.
