Great Weekend

We had a great weekend! Tim flew to MO to visit with the family, we picked up the marriage license, and then we ate some great BBQ at Buffalo Bob's Smokehouse in Lawrence, KS.
Friday evening we had an after work get-together downtown at Fred's P. Ott's Bar & Grille which is located in the same building where I work. There were several people from work that stopped by and wished us well and we had a very good evening.

Saturday we took our trip to Lawrence, the fall day was beautiful and the weather was crisp and clear... the leaves were turning and it was lovely. We walked around downtown, ate great food, and bought a few gifts. It was nice to hold hands, laugh, chat, and be together. He has wanted to go eat at his favorite BBQ restaurant and wanted me to experience it with him... he was right, it's Great BBQ.

Saturday evening we met at Houlihans's in a banquet room my BIL-Mark reserved for the evening. Mom, Dad, Cheryl & her family, Sarah & her family, Adam and my friend Brandi -(they went out on a date which at was Houlihan's) and several friends from church were there and Tim was able to visit with them and considering how many of us there were... he did GREAT! We can be a bit overwhelming.

I am getting very excited. . . this is my last week at work and I spend next week packing. It is getting close! Only 13 more days until the wedding and there is so much to get done. I have built in 4 days into the 13 in order to get things packed. I have done this many, many times... so I am confident I will be ready on time. Keep me in your prayers! :)

God has blessed me with a wonderful man, full of love for me, love for God, and buys me sparkly jewelry! (wink) We all know that love is more than sparkly jewelry but it's fun to joke about it. He is a good man and I am very happy. Thank you all for praying for us.
