I could sleep another twelve hours....I am tired.

My friend, Lori, is in the hospital (knee replacement surgery) and my other friend, Birgit, is in the same hospital (equipment removal). I went to see them both last night and they are recovering nicely and not in too much pain thanks to great pharmaceuticals. Birgit will go home today and Lori will go home on Friday. It was nice to be able to visit both of them and to know they are ok before I leave for TX. Friends are a precious gift from God and need to be treated as such. They are wonderful ladies.

My daughter, The Unsinkable Kristen, has been having a week. I haven't been able to talk to her like I want to because of work constraints, family duties, and visiting friends in the hospital. She has been stretched to the max and handling it well.... but moms know when their kids need to touch base. I am excited to see her next week!!! Then I will be moving 3 hours away from her. I am very thankful for that.

Well, 9 more days to go. My goodness.... I have so much to do. :)
