I have a nice stack of empty boxes to remind me that the job is getting done dispite the overwhelming feeling I get when I see all of the other ones quietly taunting me. I don't really have a plan . . . I am kinda "planned" out. So, I am just opening one and then putting the stuff away, opening another one, and putting stuff away. It has worked so far.
I was very proud of myself yesterday. You see, I have never been to this 'town' before and I wanted to find a few things just to see if I could navigate myself by myself. I found what I was looking for and made it back home without getting lost. I have a few things that I need to do this afternoon and I think I will venture out again . . . with my trusty map. I have a feeling my map and I are going to be very good friends. :)
Tim took me to lunch today at a little place called Buppy's. It is a place that my FIL-Dick would have just loved. It is a catering business that opens for lunch. The woman met us at the door, took our six dollars apiece, and then told us to enjoy. She had a wonderful Texas drawl and was a typical grandmother type figure. The only thing missing from the denim vest was a few rhinestones. The food was delicious, homecooked, and it was an all-you-can-eat buffet in a building tucked off a secondary street. Only the locals can find it, and they all know each other's names. I just smiled and enjoyed my meal. So far, Tim has managed to take me to several 'little' places that have just been phenominal as far as food and taste goes. I am impressed. The man knows good food.
Well, I have posted long enough, dear readers. This 'fish' must get back to unpacking.
