Yesterday, Tim and I strolled the thriving metropolis of downtown Bryan. They have a few art stores, three Mexican restaurant's, a hardware store, a furniture store, and few other odds and ends type stores. Then we found this long, newer building with about seven stores in it which reminded me of the shop Nell Hill in Atchison, KS. The owners brought in a guy that provided live acoustic guitar music while you shopped. He was very good and Tim, flush with wedding dancing memories, wanted to bust out his newly acquired Fred Astaire moves in the store. To my horror, we did a twirl or two, and then I moved him on to another section of the store. The musician applauded us! The little stores flowed into each other and the stuff was endless. The place was decked out in Christmas stuff galore! Just walking around warmed the little decorating cockles of my heart. Gosh! I love stuff like that.
After experiencing the rush of nick-nacks... Tim topped off the viewing extravaganza with a trip to a restaurant for some excellent Mexican food and a trip to Blockbuster's. We found Return to Me, a little romance movie, and Next, with Nicolas Cage. We promptly went home and watched the first one, snuggled on the couch, and then he asked me to make my fabulous caramel corn for the second.
All-in-all, it was as my dad would say... "A good day!"

It was 29 here yesterday. We took the kids to the Christmas Tree Farm and about froze to death!!
Enjoy that hot weather of your new home!
Thanks, Robin! I think I'll take my weather over freezing any day. I never thought I would ever say that... but I suppose it comes with age.
I do miss the snow... but the palm trees are a rush! ;)
