Updates

Tim and I celebrated our one month anniversary! Yes, folks, it has been one month! It seems very unbelievable, but each day is better than the next. We are as happy as two little peas in a a pod. He keeps telling me that he has trouble wiping the smile off of his face. :) Do you remember what your first month of marriage was like? Do you remember having that smile on your face? Coming home from lunch was fun? Everything just seemed brighter when you could share it? Yep, that's me. hehe

Aside from the wonderful marriage experiences, life in Bryan has been pretty quiet. . . I have been keeping a low profile because frankly, I haven't been able to get around much. My leg has been giving me fits...so I guess I have to call and make an appointment for an MRI. It's not that I am afraid or anything, that's not it at all. I think I just hate to go have something done to only find out that it is a problem that will have to work itself out all by iself and I have just spent a gazillion dollars. Yeah, that's what it is. But since I still can't walk without pain, I will call the doctor's office by the end of this day. (Accountablity is a good thing.)

I am having some of the kids over for a holiday lunch and get-together. I am really looking forward to it. I have missed my Tot and I also enjoy watching the adult kids joke and laugh together. The menu is planned, my simple decorations are up, the house it clean, and I have only a few more presents to buy. I love family get-togethers and I love all of the preparations and then when the day actually arrives, I am so excited that I can't hardly stand it. I love the conversations, the laughter, and I love the jokes and one-liners that each person pops out with when you are least expecting it. I think famiies are the best part of the holidays.

I have to scoot and check out the Ugg boot site my Unsinkable Daughter keeps mentioning. I still haven't figured out her attraction to the Ugg-ly boots, but at least I don't have to wear them OR buy them. (Sorry, UK, no Ugg boots from me for Xmas.)

Oh BTW, Gabby is doing great. She loves Tim and follows him around the house just like a dog. When he gets up to get a drink, she follows him into the kitchen. When he gets up to go to the bathroom... she follows him. A closed door is no obstacle, she just paws at the door until it opens. She even sleeps between his feet. When we wake up in the morning, we often find her at the foot of the bed curled up between us. She is just purring away. Tim told me that he likes her... which is amazing because he doesn't like cats mainly because all of cats he has had before have been biters or scratchers. Not Miss Gabby. She is very mannerly and she has a sweet disposition which makes her a very good pet. He wants to get her a little climbing tree with a platform and would like to put it into the living room. He noticed that she likes to sit on the coffee table and watch tv with us, so he wanted thought the cat tree should be in here so she can be with us. Is he great or what??

Well, dear readers, I must go make that MRI appointment and get things ready for Saturday. Take care and enjoy your families. They are a wonderful gift from God.
