As we were discussing some of the less than pleasant changes, she mentioned a phrase that she used while in the army . . . "Embrace The Suck." I told her that while I doubt I would needlepoint a pillow with it, it was motivational non-the-less.
"Embrace The Suck."
Funny thing though, I thought about this phrase all night long.
Do I really know how to do this?
Do I jump ship at the first sign of difficulty?
What is my attitude like when I'm faced with "sucky" problems?
Do I expect situations in my life to always be pleasant, and if there not... how do I respond?
Do I expect situations in my life to always be pleasant, and if there not... how do I respond?
Is "suck" still a bad word?
And when did it change from a bad word to a common word?
"Embrace The Suck."
"Embrace The Suck."
Who knows, maybe it wouldn't look so bad on a pillow.
