Tim Tumed 50!

Today is Tim's 50th birthday!! He had his eye on a nice shiney gas grill and decided that he wanted said grill for his birthday. We have had some really good meals from this grill and I think we are going to be experimenting with some marinades and rubs in the upcoming months.

Friday, John & Lori Miller came to Texas for a visit. We went to see the new Indiana Jones movie, we ate some great meals, sampled some delicious Mexican food, and endulged in some homemade chocolate birthday cake with chocolate icing and vanilla ice cream. We went to church today and enjoyed some worship time together and had great conversation while eating great food at Tim's favorite restaurant. Now we are just hanging out at home watching old movies, playing on our laptops, and laughing . . . alot! It's nice to have such great friends and to spend time together enjoying each other's company.

Speaking of enjoying each other's company, Tim and I celebrated our 6th month anniversary on the 17th! I can't believe that we have only been married 6 months ~ it seems like it has been much longer than that. But then again, the six months seem to have flown by. Time is funny that way, isn't it?

Anyway, my husband told everyone at church that he it was his birthday today and he was turning 50. Then he proceeded to dance in the church building! It was so funny... and the older folks encouraged him by laughing and telling him he didn't look at all like he was 50. He was just crackin' me up! We just had finished a bible class lesson about David dancing before the Lord, so Tim's choreography fit right in line with the lesson! It was great. In fact, the whole day has been great.

Thank you, God, for the wonderful day and for good friends to celebrate with us. Amen.
