Thankful Thursday

Today is Thankful Thursday and I am thankful for my family! My daughter and grandbabies are visiting for a couple of days to help ward off the pregnancy blues. She has been frazzled chasing after Tot and Little David while Dave has been out of town. So, I threw down the Mom Card and told her I thought it was time to come home for a visit and a big two-armed hug. She didn’t even give one excuse. I think she realized that a break was really needed.

I am thankful I have both an understanding boss and co-workers who didn’t hestitate to push me out the door to go get my daughter.

I am thankful for a wonderful husband who met me at the house, aired up my tires, checked the heater, gave me his new cd to listen to on the way, and sent me off with a big kiss and hug while telling me to bring them safely to our home for some R-n-R. (When we got home, he took the kids outside at 8:30 at night and threw snowballs with them in the dark. You should have heard them squeal and laugh! It was so funny – and it was the perfect thing to do after a three hour car ride. They loved it.)

I am thankful to God for creating the concept of family and blessing me with such wonderful people to be in mine.
