Impromtu visits are the best, aren't they? We decided Saturday at 4:30 in the afternoon to drive up to Ft Worth to visit the Tot and Little David....oh yeah and Kristen and Dave too. We got there and the kids were in bed but not asleep so we got in some good snuggles and stories before they went to bed. Little David just launched himself into Tim's arms yelling, "GRANpa! GRANpa!" It was really cute.

We had brunch at IHOP and boy can Little David put away the food. Tim chuckled at him several times while marveling at his shoveling prowess. It was really kinda funny. We all were really hungry and the food seemed to just disappear.

Tim and I are home now and watching Harry Potter and catching up on emails and blogs. We've had a good weekend and some great fun. We enjoy roadtrips, family, and food which is why this was a great weekend - we got all three!! Oh - by the way, Tim took his guitar with him and he and Dave sat around practicing cords and stuff. It was nice to hear them talking and checking out the different sounds and techniques. Tim is getting better every day and Dave was able to offer a little advice on strings and frets. Needless to say, Kristen and I took the opportunity to go into the next room and look at her great bargains on baby clothes and to giggle like a bunch of girls. The guys were oblivious.

It's nice to be home - but the weekend sure did go by fast.
