This weekend Tim and I took a little vacation and went to Six Flags. We were able to meet with Tim’s two sons and their wives and we got to ride some awesome roller coasters.I have to admit that after all of the park rides I have come to following several conclusions:
1) Roller coasters are still the best rides in the world! My favorite is the one were my feet dangle - that has to be the coolest feeling in the world.
2) NEVER, I repeat, NEVER go to a park in Texas, in June, when it’s hotter than Hades outside.
3) Never wear Crocs in the heat without socks. (Can you spell blisters???)
4) Make sure that you aren’t too prideful when you get overheated and someone says “Hey! Let me call First-Aid and get you a cart, ok?” Just let them get the ride.
5) Realize that family can bond around a coffee table in an air conditioned house just as easy as they can around a little sticky, red vinyl table in the middle of a thousand other sticky, sweaty people who are trying to cool off too. It’s less smelly and less sticky. (smile)
6) This may be the last time Tim and I go to the park. . . well, until the fall.
Thanks go out to all the Fish guys and gals who made the trek to Six Flags and smiled, laughed, and sweated us. We enjoyed it. Next time we’ll pick an indoor activity
