Queen "B"

Miss B is my cat. I needed to have some companionship in my apartment and I knew that my lifestyle would not be a good match for a dog. I love dogs, but it just wouldn't work. I also ruled out iguanas, hamsters, chinchillas, turtles, rodents, and birds for obvious reasons. So that left cats.

I wanted an older animal. Laid back, like me. I wasn't in a hurry to rush out and get a cat... I wanted to take my time and find the right one. And I was cheap. I knew the cat I wanted would be more than my checkbook could afford, so I prayed that I would have patience and just look. If the right one came along... GREAT.

Well, one day at work, I mentioned to my co-worker that I was thinking about getting a cat. Within 10 minutes I had an email photo from her. Her mom knew a breeder and she had a show cat that was needing a good home. Her name was Creme Brulee. (Fancy name) I made arrangements to see her and still wasn't sure if I was ready for a pet or not. I went to the door of the breeder's home and saw this absolutely beautiful ball of fur. I knew that this wasn't the one I was to see, it had to be one of the other ones. I was soo wrong. It was the cat and she grabbed my heart from the moment I saw her. She is a beautiful cream- colored persian and weighs about 15 pounds of which 10 of it has to be fur.

Furball didn't seem like a name that fit her and I didn't think I could call her Brulee. I thought of all kinds of names. My sister even tried to come up with a name, but the cat just didn't suit any of them. She is mannerly, shy, and affectionate in her own way. She isn't a snuggly, lap cat. But then sometimes I am not a snuggly-lap owner. She wasn't quite a Fat Louise (my favorite name- but it sounded like a mafia hooker's name.), she was sortof a Sophia or Sophie, but I settled on Miss B. Sometimes she is Queen B. She is most definately not an Aint B. My friend Lori says she is too snotty-looking to be an Aint B. Sometimes she is The B. It depends on my mood.

More often than not, Queen B is it. She is a good fit for a Queen.
