Royal Readers, may I present to you my little girl, Gabby. I had to take a picture of her to make sure that I knew how to use this camera before I left for...... INDIANA. (Yes, folks, the time is here. I leave in less than 24 hours.) Gabby is one and a half years old. She is still just a baby cat but no longer a kitten. She is a tortishell persian. She is black, cinnamon, and touches of cream. Her eyes are huge and are golden. This picture does not show them off. She has no nose to speak of... and if you look closesly in the background, you can see Miss B's tail.
I know most of you are wondering if I have finished packing. I have most of it completed but I needed a break. I have been going 90 miles an hour today and finally got home (8:15) and am now trying to wrap things up for the next couple of days. It won't take long... I am not a high maintenance girl.
I had a co-worker call me today and tell me that she is really excited about my trip. She is new to the blog and has been reading each day. I cracked up when she told me that she was excited for me to swing in Dick & Margaret's porch swing, and that she wanted to know how I was going to like my daughter Kristen's new hair cut. She is a terrific co-worker and the fact that she is excited about my trip has just really tickled me! (Your awesome V.)
I have had calls from Kristen all day long. She is just as excited as I am. I haven't seen her since.....you all can probably say it with me..... "you haven't seen her since Thanksgiving.... yeah, we know." I don't know if Dave is going to ever get her to go to sleep between packing, calling, twirling, planning, etc.
Tonight was my Book Talk group meeting. We meet at Barnes & Noble and discuss the book we read for the month. This month we read a book called Veritas Conflict by Shaunti Feldhahn. It is about the battle for the mind of a Harvard student. She is trapped between good and evil and she is not prepared for the faith challenges she is about to face. It is a great read along the lines of This Present Darkness by Frank Perretti. (BTW: Totally Great Book!) We had a great time, sipping Starbucks and talking books.
Well, royal readers, the Queen has to finish packing. I printed off my boarding pass while I was typing this post and I have managed to download my pictures, so I know the camera works.
I have some comments to finish for a dear friend, and then my day is complete. I will try to post while I am in Indiana, but if I don't, I'm sure you will understand that it's hard to type when your "tot-wrangling!" I cannot WAIT.
Caio- baby!

Wow, between yours and Kristen's blogs, I have to say that I'm excited for you all, too, and wish I could be there to witness all this...and the ham salad sounds divine.
Have a great time!
