Well, royal readers, IN 48 HOURS I WILL BE ONE HOUR AWAY FROM MY BABIES!!!!!! MY DAUGHER AND SIL, AND MY INDIANA FAMILY AND FRIENDS!!!!!! Can you tell I am excited? Yes, that would be an understatement. I just hope I can get all my stuff done before I leave.

My daughter made a list of all the things she was looking forward to once she got to IN. I would have to agree with everything on her list. She nailed it all. I am ready to see her, to talk to her, to see her new hair cut. I want to swing on Dick and Margaret's porch swing with her and David and the rest of the Grile's/Cash's and I want to talk the night away. I can't wait.

I had a great evening with the discipleship group. We discussed relationships and what they mean, especially when we look at Christian relationships. There are real struggles in a new Christian's life as they begin to rid themselves of things, people, jobs, and extra curricular activities that they view as barriers between them and their new walk with the Lord. It is hard to make those changes all at once because there seem to be soo many. When you factor in social activities, serious relationships, dating, and all that goes along with that, it can be overwhelming. We all want to run before we can walk. But it's the walking that prepares us for the running.
As this group goes over each chapter, I look forward to the challenges that are discussed, the bonds of friendship that are forged as we share our lives and our walk with Christ. I know that I will grow as much as each person in the group, and that is something I look forward too.

*************** And now for something completely different. ***************
I received this today from my sister... I laughed out loud. Needless to say, I have to share it with all my women readers. Men, you just nod your head and smile. ;)

MENOPAUSE JEWELRY
My husband, being unhappy with my mood swings, bought me a mood ring the other day so he would be able to monitor my moods.
We've discovered that when I'm in a good mood, it turns green and when I'm in a bad mood, it leaves a big frickin' red mark on his forehead. Maybe next time he'll buy me a diamond.

Cynthia,

Glad the discipleship group is going well. And yes, even those who are wiser and (a tiny bit) older in the group learn and grow with and through the others in the group. I learn a tremendous amount through the eyes of new converts and even non-Christians.

Hope you have a good time with your daughter. When will you be back?

James
