Friday Night Lights

Friday is coming to a close. It is almost midnight and the Queen is still not quite ready to shut off the lights and stamp the day finished. It's not like there is any great show on TV, or riveting chapter in a great book, or laundry, or whatever ...I'm just not quite ready to end the night. Does that ever happen to you? You know you should go to bed, but you just can't seem to shut it off?

I had a really good day today. I listed the things I was going to do this morning and I did them all and all of them were great experiences. I loved doing the meeting at the bank. The assistant manager, my friend V~, said it went "perfect," but I think it was the twenty dollar bill I slipped her earlier that made her say those kind things. :) I really enjoyed speaking...I would like to do that more often, not at the branch per say, but just speak period. I think motivational speaking would be a terrific thing to do. I will have to pray about it and see what God thinks.

I visited with my co-worker P and lunch was a pleasant experience... we swapped stories (Cliff note versions of course) and shared similiar experiences with moving to KC to be near family. We have a few things in common which made for an enjoyable lunch hour.

Dad was having a good day and he had visitors about 10 minutes after I got there. While visiting, I found out that dad had rehab with a man from church who was there recovering from a surgery to remove a tumor from his brain. The tumor has caused some left side paralysis, so he was rehabing in the same room with dad. He really enjoyed visiting with the man, and it seemed to mean a lot to him.

After visiting with dad, I drove across town and had dinner with my friends, Birgit and Lori. We haven't done as much together has we used too, so it was good to catch up. Good girl-talk. We opted against a movie cause we were looking at the time, yawning, and we decided to visit and then leave at a decent hour so we could get to bed.... and here I sit. Go figure.

You know what tomorrow is................. S.A.T.U.R.D.A.Y. YEAH!!!! Wasn't there some song about Saturday nights? The singer spelled out the day and then launched into his song. K.C. and the Sunshine Band?? I'm tired so I'll google it later. I am really going to bed this time. You all take care and enjoy your day!! Good night, all.

Thank you, Robin. That was a very nice compliment. :) I think you like listening to me because I was always lecturing Brandon. lol. He usually did something silly and I needed to give him a piece of my mind. It was really sad when he began numbering the pieces. :)
