Plans for the Day

Today is a beautiful day.... a day full of sunshine and promise.

I have several things on tap for today and am excited.

1) I am going to do a short "pump up" session for our bank branch located on the second floor. They have Friday morning meetings to encourage and pump up the troops and I was invited to be the "guest speaker." I am looking forward to it.

2) I am going to have lunch with a new co-worker, P. She just started about 2 weeks ago and we have become Starbuck's buddies. We are meeting today for lunch and I think it should be fun. She is another woman over 40. There aren't many of us at the bank of that age group and we tend to gravitate to each other. :)

3) After work, I am heading over to visit dad. He is doing GREAT. He is really enjoying rehab and the challenge of moving his left leg. He loves his new place, the new rehab people and is thriving. I am very excited about this! His eyes were sparkling, his attitude-positive, and I thought it was the best he has looked in a long time.

4) I am going over to another friend's house after work and we are going to cook out. We haven't done anything together in a long time. John is out of town, so Lori is going to come over too and we are going to hang out, grill burgers, and watch some chick-flicks! Yeah! I hope there is chocolate involved! There's nothing better than good friends, a sappy movie, and chocolate. :)

5) Sleep. Cause the next day is SATURDAY!!!!!! You all know how I feel about Saturdays. Yeah, baby! I am looking forward to that day, let me tell ya.

I read a post today by a young man that is the son of a very dear friend. The faith of this young man is inspiring. I love to read about his passion for the lost and his commitment to God, and his faith. He is a very godly, faith-filled young man. I pray that his summer is one filled with good hard work, good friends, and spirit-filled growth. He is a testament to his parents and their faith. Praise God for young people like him.

Dear Readers, my time draws to a close. May your weekend be sweet. May you get the rest you need, may you enjoy the laughter that will soothe your soul, may you experience the peace that transcends understanding, and may you have worship time with the God that created you.
Shalom.
