Morning Musings

It's a new day! A good day! It's a day God prepared in advance and he has prepared us to do good works. He will even lead people to us so that we can help them. He has equipped us to do the things that need to be done. He is a good God in every way. I just need to pray that my eyes and heart will be open to the people he places before me so I will be sensitive to their needs and be willing to step out and help where I can. Praise God for a wonderful new day! It's a day full of promise!
Follow me while I change the subject.....

My dear friend, Lori, gave me a study guide yesterday and she wants to study together. We have done this once before as a way of staying in God's word instead of finding excuses to do something else. We went through an extensive Beth Moore study on the tabernacle that is mentioned all throughout Exodus-Deuteronomy. It was awesome. So, she decided that we needed to do another one. She handed me Joyce Meyer's stratey guide to accompany her book, "The Battlefield of the Mind." I have read this book several years ago and really enjoyed it. So, I think I am ready to jump into a study and see what I can learn and apply to my life. Lori wants to do this study individually, but we will email or talk at dinner about what we are studying and learning. I am excited. I love doing this..... knowing she is studying really helps me to stay on track too.

I will be posting from time to time on the things that I have discovered in the study. Please feel free to grab a book and study along as well. You might even want to post a comment or two about something that really struck a cord. So, I plan on doing about 15-20 minutes of reading and studying and then I will finish up with about 10 minutes of journaling. I have found that writing down what I learned and how I want to apply some of the information to my life, makes it easier to do. Sometimes I wrestle with the changes, I examine my rebellious thoughts in response to the reading, or I simply have a desire to repent of things that I have done and need to correct. No one reads my journals... they are my thoughts to God. I use this journal to pray, or to praise, sometimes I simply copy verses that mean something to me. It is a spiritual journal for my spiritual journey here on this earth.

Feel free to join me on my walk .....
