My Day

Hello ~
Yes, today is my day! I have had a great day so far... I spoke to a dear friend for quite a while this morning discussing the days events and what was on tap for today. I went to an appointment and then picked up my sister and went jewelry shopping. I had a great time but I think my sister is a bad influence on me. :) She has very expensive taste, and while mine tends to be somewhat more simple, I discovered that it can be "tweaked." (wink) But never fear, dear readers, a Queen can be regal and still be simple.

The day is a very cool 64 degrees and a beautiful fall day. My favorite kind of day. While Cheryl and I were out looking at jewelry, we discovered that the outdoor mall was having an art festival. We spent and hour or so just meandering around the different stalls, looking at art, photographs, beaded jewelry, ceramics, and other very artistic and creative wares. I love that kind of stuff. I found a stunning photograph of a table top with a variety of colored marbles scattered in a pile on top. It was a close up and I loved the colors, the arrangement of objects in the picture and just the creative look. I would have scooped it up in a heartbeat.... but I have my sights set on other things....and I have other fish to fry.

I am going to finsh up some chores, fix some tasty stew, crusty bread, and either read or watch a video tonight... I am very excited about my evening. While I will miss my phone buddy, I think I have found some things to do until then. Have a wonderful evening, readers, and I hope you all have enjoyed your day as much as I have enjoyed mine.

*****
Side note: 3:10 to Yuma was GREAT! It is a remake of an old movie and I thought it was very good. Don't listen to the reviews.... there is nothing "Brokeback" about this movie, it's just a good western. 3 out of 4 stars from the Queen.
