Caving to Peer Pressure

Well, I caved into peer pressure and posted a picture of my wedding ring. We have discovered a very freeing thing with the second marriage - you did most of the traditional things the first time, so the second time you are free to make different decisions and it doesn't really matter. :) I love it!!

One of those different decisions was that I decided that I didn't need an engagement ring. Tim had recently given me a beautiful Journey necklace for my birthday and I didn't need a ring to wear for a month and then turn around and get another ring on top of that. (I can hear the gasps from my sister and mom... they were very disappointed in my lack of 'jewelry focus'! hee hee) Anyway, we went ring shopping in Oklahoma City and found this beautiful ring. When we explained how we met, the saleswoman got goosebumps up and down her arm and with tears in her eyes, she told him he had to buy me something big and sparkley! (I loved her!)

Tim has been spoiling me like crazy and I am trying to let him... it's difficult, but a girl's gotta do what a girl's gotta do.... so I guess I'll have to LET him buy me expensive jewelry. :)

Shhhhhhh.... I think he really likes me. (wink)
