Day Trippin'

Well folks, the best part of Texas has got to be the weather! Tim and I decided to take a little day trip down to Galveston so we could walk the beach and eat great seafood. It was wonderful! We even managed to eat at a little restaurant that I had eaten at 10 years earlier almost to the day. It was still there and the gosh-awful pink shrimp was still hanging outside the place. It has probably been hanging there for the past 50 years... that's how long the place has been in business. If you ever get to Galveston, please check out Casey's. It is fabulous!

As for fabulous, 2007 has certainly had it's share of fabulous moments along with it's share of heartaches... number one being my dad's heartattach and subsequent stroke. It has changed the fabric of our family but not in a bad way. It has just changed it. We are still the same, but we are closer, tighter, more understanding that life can be snatched away at a moments notice, so you better live life while you can and love God and others as much as you can.

Love. Serve. Forgive. Just a few of the lessons learned from 2007. Enjoy the day-trippin' pics.

Casey's - the best seafood!

Yep - that's me. Sittin' and smilin'

Tim loved the waves and the birds.

Houston - just a segment!

We wish you a Happy New Year!
