Now here I sit and it's 2008! Wow! I have spent some time thinking about 07, and it sure brought it's share of good times and bad. I made a few vows (which my friends have told me I have kept) and then found myself making a wedding vow in November that wasn't even a blip on the radar back in January. How quickly things change, eh?
I have been thinking about my 08 vows. What do I want to focus on for the next year? What spiritual concerns, financial concerns, physical concerns, and familial concerns are rumbling around in my head? I have decided to take some time and spend it in quiet reflection and prayer. I want to improve something in each of the four areas. I know better than to set the bar too high with unrealistic expectations . . . I'll just crash and burn and then feel like crap because I didn't meet my goals. So, I am not going to set myself up to fail. :) Prayer and quiet reflection, with realistic goals, will be the activities de jour.
Now on to a different topic: Texas weather. It is great but I have to say that I do

Comment on the blog and let me know what you did, ok? I am living vicariously through all of my readers and lurkers. Come out of the darkness, dear lurkers, and let me know how you celebrated the snow!
Ciao~

Although I would love to have a great story as to how I had enjoyed a cold, wintery evening with hot chocolate, a fire and a good book...I can't! We don't have a fire place either...next house! I have also been chilled to the bone these last few weeks, so I haven't been doing much except for wrapping up in my own blanket on the couch (not even sharing it with James...maybe the kids though)watching re-runs or Backyardigans!
Not much for living vicariously through this reader! ha
Cynthia,
I will also miss the snow when we move to Texas. Only we had snow and ice four weekends in a row up here, killing our attendance. I won't miss that. I like snow during the week, and not on Sunday--the opposite of most people, probably.
Well, you probably read about my holiday on my blog, but I thought I would let you know I was here. By the way, I invited Ellyn tonight to come and visit us at the church before I left, and she said she would. Thanks for introducing us--she is a really great person.
That Amish Grace book is really good. How is that book club looking down there?
