The grandkids came to visit on Monday and they left today. Tim and I had fun laughing with them and at them. They are at such a cute age and full of energy that wears you out just watching them.
Tot crawled into bed with us this morning and whispered, "Nana...it's me, Taywor Dawn. I sneaked up on you. I am a hawarious girwl." Yeah, I had to laugh. She went on to discribe how she left her mommy in the other room and sneaked out to come into our room. She was hungry and thirsty and I needed to make her something to eat.
Speaking of eating, last night Tim made popcorn for them out of his WestBend Popcorn Popper with Stirring Rod. Tot poured in the oil and David poured in the corn. They sang a spontaneous song about popcorn that goes Pop! Pop! Pop! Little Dave jumped on Unsinkable's lap whenever a kernel popped. He was trying to go as fast as the popcorn and I was just happy that he didn't bounce off of her lap. They ooo-ed and ahhh-ed as the popcorn filled up the bowl. We divided it up into smaller bowls and before I could get my own bowl, Little David was asking for more! That kid can shove more popcorn into his mouth and cheeks than a hamster shoving in seeds. Tim and Dave were the champs at eating the most popcorn.
We had a great time visiting late into the evening, making Dump Cake, sewing on my new machine, bathing and chasing toddlers. It was fun, entertaining, and exhausting and now I'm ready for a nap. Grandpa is too.
