(You're suppose to sing that title like Donny Osmond.... it's better that way.)
Yesterday was my birthday and I had a wonderful week. Yes, you read that right ... a wonderful a week. Tim called it CBW (Cynthia's Birthday Week) and he did something each day. He surprised me at work one day with one of my favorite Sonic drinks and then left a birthday card in my car. The next day he came to work with an icecream treat and I received a card from him in the mail at work. I was home with a migraine on Thursday to which he called on me and offered to go get me Gatorade or crackers or whatever I needed. Then on Friday (my actual day) I received a card in the mail, a package was delivered, and I got a visit from the florist who delivered a huge bouquet of flowers. He even sang a song ... just because he was a nice guy and it was my birthday. :)
Yes, I'm telling you CBW was wonderful. I know Tim set the bar rather high for himself for next year, but I love it. He took my favorite Birkenstocks (read very old and completely worn out) and went to the mall to find a replacement. When he couldn't find it, he went online and ordered them. He beamed. I'm not kidding you guys.... he beamed.
Now, the piece de resistance was the gift he gave me about two weeks ago. We had been shopping around for a sewing machine for about a month and a half. I had a 27 year old Singer and it was on its last stitch. One weekend he asked me if I minded getting a present early. He couldn't stand it any longer and told me that he wanted to give me my present early. So he went out and bought the machine. (smile)
He has been wonderful and I have had a great birthday week. I enjoyed every minute of CBW because next year - after the honeymoon has worn off, it just might be, "Hey babe... how 'bout a pizza?"

Side note: Thank you to all my family and friends who sent cards, called, and sang to me. You are the best!!!!
