I am thankful for the air I breathe because my lungs work and my nose isn’t stopped up.
My breakfast is delicious which means my mom did teach me a thing or two or three about cooking. (God bless her.) And I am thankful that my mom took the time to teach me and that she was home during my childhood to show me what it meant to be a homemaker. She was amazing and still is.
I am thankful for my class of three year olds. We had a party for baby Jesus on Wednesday and I watched their little faces as we lit candles and turned out the lights. It was very precious to hear them sing Happy Birthday and their little faces were so tender in the candlelight. I was struck by the wonderful story of Jesus and the childlike faith shining in the eyes of those little children.
I am thankful for friends – without them life would certainly not be as colorful as it is.
And I am thankful for Tim. He has been sneaking around here and teasing me about Christmas gifts and is like a little kid with a huge secret. It is about to burst out of him. I am thankful that he loves me enough to hold it in…. he can’t keep a secret worth squat but he doesn’t want to ruin the moment for me so he is walking around here with a bounce in his step and a smirk on his face. (and he gives lousy clues....I don't have a clue. )
