Reelin' in the Years

I am listening to Steely Dan singing “Reelin’ in the Years” and I have to say it is one of my favorites.

“Are you reelin’ in the years? Are you stowin’ away the time?”

I was thinking about the chorus and wondering what I am doing with my time here on this earth? Am I just reelin’ in the years? Am I stowin’ away the time?
I have been blessed with a fairly contented nature – but it is good to have times of reflection so that you can “up your game” so to speak. I think God uses those times to remind us that there are things bigger and more important than just our every day ‘same ol, same ol.’ Now it’s up to me to go out and do sometime about it.
