I know many of you were wondering how the trip went since the weather was freakishly cold. Kansas City had some phenomenal snow and sleet with the snowflakes big, wet, and fat. They were the kind of flakes that make you look out the window and just marvel at the beauty. Mom and dad had the fireplace going and we had a wonderful time just sitting around the table and catching up. Dad still tells some of the funniest stories and I’m telling you…. Tim laughed so hard I thought he was going to fall out of his chair. It was great.
We were able to visit with Tim’s folks, my sisters and their families, and great friends. It was one of our best trips so far. Tim’s folks live in KS and they have a beautiful home surrounded by big tall trees and I think it is the perfect spot out away from town.
Tim and I listened to a lot of things on his Ipod which he kept telling me was the perfect Christmas present – which I have to agree, it was. He uses it every day which was exactly why I got it for him! Anyway – we got one of those little thingies that fit in the bottom of it and then it plays through the radio. It was much better than sharing the earphones which we did most of the way to KC. (smile) I’ll share more thoughts about that later on this week.
