Nana, I'm a Protestor!

Today was a day of first for the Fish’s and the Chapman’s. We all attended our first political protest rally here in Texas – a Tea Party. I had no idea what to expect but we went armed – armed with posters, lawn chairs, posters, water bottles, egg rolls, Snicker bars, posters, camera, hats, and lots of expectation!

We were able to spot Tim from across the lawn – he was the one waving a big sign and Tot waved hers at him in return. It was funny and I think they were kindred spirits waving to each other. David was just along for the fun and the snacks but he toted his own backpack and poster. Kristen carried the food and I carried the chairs.

It was a nice, polite, political rally without a lot of huge fanfare – just a group of a couple of hundred people supporting the cause of the fair tax, term limits, ending of stimulus packages, limit federal government involvement and give some of the authority back to the states where it belongs.

So, all in all, it was a good beginner lesson in civics for the grandkids, bonding for Unsinkable and Tim, and Nana just had a great time being supportive to daughter, husband, grandkids, and country. God Bless Us Everyone! (Preach on Tiny Tim)
