Turning 50

My birthday was fun even though I turned 50.
The wishes were great and the presents were nifty.
I had a good day.
What more can I say?
Tim was generous and not at all thrifty!

Well gang, the day has been and gone and I'm still here. A long time ago I was sure that the day I turned 50 was the day I would look like my great-grandma. I can safely say - I don't!! Gray yes - but that's been on my head for a long time.

Tim and I had a good day of sight-seeing, shopping, ate a delicious steak and visited a road-side vegetable/fruit market. I received many calls from my family complete with the traditional singing of the birthday song - they even left the songs on my voicemail. I still remember getting a call from Cole and Christopher (my nephews) back when they were little and after the song they added "and many more from Channel 4, and Scooby Do on Channel 2, and the Big Fat Lady on Channel 80" and on and on and on. Their little voices just cracked me up. My neice, Jennifer, even sings too - which tickles me because she giggles the whole time she tries to sing. My parents sang to me, my sister's sang to me and my grandbabies sang to me too and it really made my day. My Facebook friends sent wishes and I even got a poem too.

So, don't feel silly doing family tradition things - it's what makes family . . . family. It always brings a smile to the face and joy to the heart.

Did you turn 50 and just start to forget to keep blogging? What's up with that!?

I used to forget stuff alot, now I just don't remember anymore. But that's the fun part about being 50!
