I have had a couple of comments lately on the blog that have mentioned my lack of posting. What's going on? Well, I confess that I am running dry in the blogging department. It could be a lack of subject matter or just lack of energy at the end of the day. But whatever the reason, I am going to try to work on adding a few more posts.
I will give you a quick little update on what’s been going on in the Fishbowl.

First, the new grandbaby is wonderful. She is a doll-baby and is a wonderful little thing to hold. In fact, Tim asked if we could go to Ft Worth to visit! How great is that. I didn’t even have to ask. We made this decision after work on Friday and were holding little Alli at 9:00 that night. Tim was in heaven. I finally took her and spent the next 30 minutes just rocking at staring at her cute little nose and listening to her little noises. It was priceless. And the rest of the weekend was spent playing with Tot and little David, napping, and kitty-wrestling but more about that later this week. I need more material for blogging.

Second, tonight I am trying out a new pulled pork recipe – you need to buy a bone-in pork roast (I bought a 4 ½ pound boneless roast – I didn’t have the recipe with me at the store) and rub it with salt, pepper and garlic. Sear it in a cast iron pan with a lid- but since I don’t have one I am using my big pot with a glass lid. Starting with the fatty side first, sear all sides and end up with fat side up in the pan. Add 1+ cup of water (could add some beef broth too if desired), put the lid on it and put it in a 335 degree oven for about 3 to 3 ½ hours. It should fall off the bone. Add BBQ sauce and enjoy pulled pork BBQ sandwiches. I need to adjust the time since mine doesn’t have a bone in it. Anyway, I’ll let you know how it tastes. Don’t ask Tim . . . he thinks everything I cook tastes great so I don’t think he’s very objective. (wink)
