My One Loyal Fan

I haven’t posted in a while because I have been in a groove of sorts and just haven’t felt like writing. I know there are several people who check this to see what is going on and have commented on the fact that I haven’t posted. So, “this post is for you.” My one loyal fan. (wink)

Our kitten, Spazzy (short for Spazmina), woke me up from a wonderful sleep by biting on my toes and sticking her little wet nose in my ear and then nibbling on my earlobe. I don’t know why she does this but she LOVES earlobes. My little lobes are not a fan and shy of slinging her across the room, I’m not sure how to break her of this habit.

(Tim mentioned that she nibbles his at night too, he just thought it was me – hahahhaa)

She got me up and if hadn’t been for the need for coffee, I might have gone back to sleep. (I wonder if the government will declare that coffee is considered a “drug” and either outlaw it or TAX it??? What would I do without them telling me what I can or cannot do?)

Sorry – my snarky comment about the government was jab at the current administration’s need to interfere in my life when they should BUTT OUT. (sorry there it went again)

Ok. Now. Move On. (hee hee)

My Unsinkable daughter’s birthday was yesterday and it sounded like she had a great one. She has a flair for making the most out of the day by reveling in the presents and cards and well-wishes. I get a kick out of it. A family tradition is to call each person on their birthday and sing The Song. Tim has now been roped into it too and he sings right along with me. We sang to mom and dad on their anniversary and we sang to K on her birthday too. It’s so much fun and it’s fun to change up the words and add to the tune. Sometimes we sing it badly – just to be funny. There isn’t anything better than to get a voicemail with your sister singing or the other sister singing with her daughter. I kept my nephew’s song on my answering machine for a long, long time because I loved playing it and hearing their voices sing the silly song. It was great and warmed the little “conkles” of my heart.

Well, enough posting for today – I’ll try to get on more often and give you an update from The Fishbowl.
Until then,

Peace Out.
