Life is good.
I am off tomorrow and headed to OK to see John & Lori's son Nick get married. It will be on Saturday and I am riding over with my sister and her family. I know they are so excited and I can't wait to see who will cry first... John or Lori. :)
Another reason life is good is because it's raining outside. I have my deck door open, a small fan blowing (Read the Over 40 post! Enough said.) and earlier I could hear Hooter hootin' away. The thunder is slowing rumbling across the sky and lulling me to sleep. I just love rain!
My dad is doing better each day. He is in pain due to the mattress, his sore body, and (oops! big thunder roll - AWESOME!) and muscle cramps. I hate to see it. He had a tear leak out of his eye tonight and I have never seen my dad cry from pain before. I know it has to be unbearable for him. On a good note, his face is tanned from sitting in the sun. His eyes seemed brighter today and his mood wasn't depressed. Pained but not depressed. Please pray that he finds relief.
The last piece of good news.... my daughter, The Unsinkable Kristen Grile... (ok! I know.) I mean The Unsinkable Kristen Chapman is a published author!!!! TA DA!
I am so proud of her. She used a god-given talent and then did something with it. I know she will continue to write, to bless people with her infectious wit and insightfulness, and she will be an inspiration to her mother! God blessed me with an unsinkable daughter with an unsinkable attitude. (Love ya' kiddo!)
Well, readers, I am yawning, the thunder is rumbling, lightening is flashing, and my cat is nudging me to go to bed. Catch ya on the rebound.
