Yes, it's on tonight and I am watching it!!! Campy? Yes, but this was a movie that dad took us all to see when we were really young. Actually mom and dad wanted us to go, dad just talked about the "awesome-ness" of it and how we HAD to see it. On a Saturday, we climbed into the car, drove to a theatre downtown, and saw it on the big screen. It even had an intermission! I had never been to a movie with an intermission before. Dad absolutely LOVED the music when Moses saw the burning bush and they played it again when they crossed the Red Sea.
There have been many movies about Moses but they didn't have The Voice. You know, the dramatic voice of Charlton Heston! He is the voice of Moses. Only James Earl Jones could come close. But I think JEJones should be the voice of God. He sounds more .... uh...... I can't say god-like but you know what I mean. Anyway, there are just some things that are better left alone.... and this movie is one of them. It's a classic.
