One of the things we did while the grandbabies were here was roast marshmallows. They loved them… so much so that Little David was able to cram two into his mouth at one time. I thought I was going to choke – he looked like a chipmunk with white ooze coming out of his little mouth. Tot helped to cook them until her tummy got too hot, then grandpa needed to do the rest of the work. We had them run around the yard to get rid of some of the sugar. Tot noticed our neighbors were outside too and she walked up to the knothole in the fence and said, “Hi Next Door Neighbors! I’m Taylor Chapman. Hey! Come over and eat marshmallows with us!” We all laughed and she decided to fix them one and have Tim pick her up so she could hand it to them over the fence.
Well, now we are on our own and life has certainly settled down. With this quiet has come some awareness - I have decided to go on a political fast for a while. I have had enough. I am disgusted and unsettled so I decided to turn to prayer and then turn the channel. I can get a recap once in the evening and then go to bed. I don’t need a steady diet of it morning, lunch, and evening. Blech. Enough. I do want to go to the Tea Party on April 15th but I don’t think I’m ready to tote a sign or anything. If you don’t know about the Tea Parties, then I would suggest google-ing it and find one in your area and go. This country was founded by people who decided to stand up and be heard. I’m not seeing change I can believe in .
